Creating a photographic Diptych can be a convoluted process. It really shouldn't be so hard, particularly since all you're doing is stitching together a few images and maybe putting a border around them.
DipStych is a simple Windows application that makes creating 'tychs (diptych, triptych...n-tych) really simple. It also is a simple way to add a border or frame to a single image.
DipStych is free software and is released under the GNU Public License.
Requirements
DipStych requires version 2.0 of the .NET framework. Chances are you already have this installed on your machine. You can check however, by going to “Add or Remove Programs” in the “Control Panel” and it’ll be listed as “Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0″ or something similar. Version 1.1 isn’t enough. If you don't have version 2 installed you can download it from Microsoft's webpage (approx 22MB).
Installation
Download the setup file and then "double-click" the downloaded file. This will start the installation process.
How you can help
If you use a photo sharing website like flickr, tag your photos with DipStych to promote us. There are some examples of people who have done this here. (Please note, not all photos tagged with DipStych are created using this software since some people mistype Diptych as DipStych.)
